As this San Franciscan kinkster and radical performance artist reads to you with passion and intimacy you feel as if you are simultaneously the only one in the room and a part of something bigger than yourself, as she opens her lips and shares her stories of heroism, heart break, and struggles in the fight for sexual freedom and the visceral journey of sexual discovery through the lens of a feminist submissive who grew up in the heartland of America.

Madison will be appearing in Los Angeles at Echo Park’s Stories Bookstore to read in person from Daddy: A Memoir on July 22nd at 7:30pm.  

Madison’s real life literary narrative ushers the reader into a world of a young girl from Ohio who leaves the heartland for California in search of a sense of belonging. Swan dive down this wild rabbit hole as author Madison Young pairs a sense of both strength and vulnerability into her literary journey of carnal sex, desire, and BDSM with fierce feminist ideology in this courageous account of a young woman coming of age and finding home.

Madison Young, author and radical feminist performance artist and director, spoke of her excitement about the reading stating “I’m so thrilled to be reading at Stories. Many of my sexual adventures that I explore in my book were instigated right here in Los Angeles and I’m so thrilled to be presenting these tales for the first time to Los Angeles audience here at Stories Bookstore.”

Madison Young is an author, body based performance artist, feminist pornographer, sex educator, and mother. Young has presented on the topics of pornography, feminism, and sexuality internationally, including at Yale University, Northwestern University, and the University of Toronto. Young’s writings have been published in books such as “Best Sex Writing of 2013″, “Subversive Motherhood”,”Daddy: A Memoir”, and her forthcoming books “DIY Porn Handbook:Documenting Our Own Sexual Revolution” and ” The Ultimate Guide to Sex during Pregnancy and Motherhood”. Young has been featured for her expertise in sex-positive culture on such media outlets as BravoTV ‘s Extreme Guide to Parenting, New York Times, and HBO. Madison Young lives and works in Berkeley,California.
